GAGE
REPEATABILITY AND REPRODUCIBILITY
(Gage
R&R)
Variation:
All things vary,
regardless if we can measure it or not. As with processes which produce
parts under stable conditions, there is a certain amount of variation
when measuring parts. This variation, or error, can be caused by the
inspector, environmental conditions, and by the measuring instruments
themselves.
Before
data may be used to make important decisions about the process and the
fitness for use of the products, it is important to know how much
variation exists in the measurement system.
Many quality control management systems, such as QS9000, now
require gage R&R studies. This seminar will provide you the tools
and knowledge to satisfy these requirements.
Who should attend this seminar?
Manufacturing Engineers,
Quality Engineers, and other production persons will find it very useful as well. Managers
of these functions will benefit greatly. Persons from service or administrative functions
will receive exercises and applications tailored to their needs. This is a
8 hour
course with a maximum class size of 24.
