The need for manufacturing companies to become ISO 9000/2000 certified continues to increase.  Many companies have chosen to be ISO compliant, instead of fully certified.  Nevertheless, the acceptance of ISO 9000/2000 standards for basic quality control systems has been overwhelming.  As the automotive industry developed the more rigorous QS 9000/2000 standards, the need for manufacturers to address quality improvement through systematic approaches became even greater.

Advanced Quality Engineering Inc. has been assisting companies both large and small with ISO preparation since 1988.  Our staff of consultants have the knowledge and experience to effectively guide an organization through the seemingly complex standards.  As an organization embarks upon a quality improvement effort, the people involved become aware of the magnitude of the task before them.  To have a knowledgeable, experienced consultant to help them with this large task, can often mean the difference between success and failure.

Just knowing where to start is a difficult decision in and of itself. Therefore, an ISO-9000/2000 gap analysis is an important aspect with which we can assist.  An additional tool for this assessment, which can be helpful is a quality attitude survey of the employees.  It can identify quality improvement needs that are not as evident from traditional auditing activities.

We then help establish an ISO implementation team and work with them to the level necessary to implement ISO 9000/2000, including the training of employees if needed.  This might include writing the quality control manual and assisting with other documentation if necessary.  Our work has a foundation based upon a synthesis of Juran, Feigenbaum, and Deming principles plus our extensive industrial experience.  We believe that the effort to become certified should provide more than just a QC system, but in fact should be a business enhancement.

Employee ISO 9000/2000, ISO 13485:2003 Training

AQE offers professional ISO 9000/2000 employee training programs for manufacturing and service companies, and a ISO 9000/2000, ISO 13485:2003 training course for medical device companies.  These courses are designed at two levels:  a comprehensive detailed course for business management and staff personnel, and a simplified course oriented to the interests and needs of production personnel.   Both courses consist of ten focused sections.  There are student workbooks and a course final exam.

In addition to our ISO and ISO/EN consulting services and training, we also offer seminars in many quality assurance topics.  These seminars offer the fundamental skills and tools of quality assurance.   Participants "learn by doing" through individual exercises and small group activities based on actual workplace examples, often incorporating data from your business.  We prefer to spend sufficient time discussing your needs and the audience to be trained in order to provide more relevant information, whether that be workers, managers or executives.  We become facilitators more than lecturers as the group applies concepts and learns collectively from the outcomes.  The result is greater skills transfer. 

Most of the training programs allow up to 24 persons in a class. The courses include a certificate of completion and all materials are provided.   Certificates of completion are generally sufficient as validation for professional society re-certification units (RU's) i.e. ASQC.
